Pikachu and its Pokeball

 Materials:

- 2.75mm and 2.25mm (for eyes only) hook 
- Yarn: Worsted Weight (4): Yellow (Loops and thread), Red, Black, White, Taupe/Brown (Vanna's choices)
- Embroidery black and white floss for eyes
 Tapestry needle for sewing and weaving in ends
- Scissors
- Stitch marker (optional)
- Polyester stuffing

Abbreviations:

- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- sc2tog = 2 single crochet together (diminution)

- slst = slip stitch
- st = stitch / sts = stitches

PIKACHU
(About 8cm height)

(Indications are written to work in continuous spirals, not in joined rounds. Then your stitch marker will be useful to know where is the beginning of each row . If you prefer to join with slst at the end of every rows, just make sure to do your ch1 before starting a new row.)

HEAD

With yellow color, Ch 2

Rnd 1 : 5sc in the second ch from your hook
Rnd 2 : 2sc in 1st sc of Rnd 1, 2sc in next 4sts (10)
Rnd 3 : (2sc in next st, sc in next st)5 times. (15)
Rnd 4 : (2sc in next st, sc in next 2sts) 5 times. (20)
Rnd 5 to 7 : sc in next 20sts.
Rnd 8 : (sc2tog, sc in next 2sts) 5 times. (15)
Rnd 9 : (sc2tog, sc in next st) 5 times.(10) -- FASTEN OFF

BODY

With yellow color, Ch 2

Rnd 1 : 5sc in the second ch from your hook
Rnd 2 : 2sc in 1st sc of Rnd 1, 2sc in next 4sts (10)
Rnd 3 : (2sc in next st, sc in next st)5 times. (15)
Rnd 4 and 5 : sc in next 15sts.

SEW THE HEAD ON THE BODY AND STUFF WITH POLYESTER JUST BEFORE CLOSING THEM TOGETHER. 


PAWS (make 4)

With yellow color, Ch 2

Rnd 1 : 5sc in the second ch from your hook
Rnd 2 : sc in next 5sts.--FASTEN OFF

SEW THEM IN FRONT OF THE BODY (SEE PICTURE)


EARS (make 2)

With black color, Ch 2

Rnd 1 : 3sc in the second ch from your hook
Rnd 2 : 2sc in the 1st sc of Rnd 1, sc in next st, 2sc in next st. (5)
--JOIN YELLOW COLOR

Rnd 3 : sc in backloop only  of 5 next sts
Rnd 4 and 5: sc in next 5sts -- FASTEN OFF

SEW ON EACH SIDE OF THE HEAD


CHEEKS (make 2)

With Red color, Ch4, close with slst in 1st Ch.

SEW EACH SIDE OF THE FACE


EYES (make 2)

With the black floss and hook 2.25mm, Ch2

Rnd 1 : 5sc in the second ch from your hook, slst in 1st sc.

-PASS A LITTLE WHITE FLOSS TO MAKE A EYE REFLECT.
-SEW EYES ON THE FACE
